I could tell you more tales of the city, how I once
had Roman fever and other stories. I wish I were
an animal that was unaware of its powers, or
its presence in the Old Farmer’s Almanac 2015
as a predictor of weather, now long past, though
word seek puzzles from March 2015 still persist,
riding their two different banana-seat bikes
heedlessly, headlong into the tempest.
Prompts: NaPoWriMo (a book spine poem using titles from your shelf), Poetic Asides (an emotion as the title of your poem), and Imaginary Garden with Real Toads (incorporate titles from three of your past poems).
I freakin’ love this. Goodness.
Thank you, De!
Oh this is great!
Thanks, Susie!
What a delicious poetic stew! Your first two lines–the first sentence, specifically–are my favorites.
Quirky in lovely original ways, thanks, Marilyn. k.
Yes, quirky. Which is why I love it so much!
Ha I wonder what happened to all the banana seat bicycles…
I had one – white and sparkly purple – streamers on the handles…my older boy cousin always took the training wheels off and stole it from me. 😦 It’s funny those word fins…timeless. 🙂
*finds* word finds …although…I like the visual of word fins…hmmm…
🙂
wow….now that’s a mashup 😉
