This game of pinball lasted much longer
when you imagined it.
Your ball is only saved so many times,
and then all the circuits quit firing
unless you have another quarter
or four.
Or you can get five plays for $2,
which sounds like a great deal
until you realize that you don’t have $2
or any more quarters,
and those five plays would all probably go
about the same, anyway.
This is Dracula pinball.
He loves you until he doesn’t,
buzzing around you, intoning his desire
until he turns to dust, a dead moth.
