Hi there! I’m a loafer, but I can be a little sneaky, too.
Are you tired of sitting around in your drawers? Well,
I’m ready to come out of the closet. I’m brown, tanned,
but I don’t care what color you are. Are you soft and thick?
It doesn’t matter to me what you’re made of. Just want
someone to be with—let’s take a long walk, hit the town
and go dancing, or lie together someplace dark. I should
mention that I have a partner. If you do, too, that’s
even better. Let’s get on our feet and go places.

This is so ridiculously brilliant, I don’t even know what to say. You know no bounds, do you?
Oh, thank you! I’m finding these prompts really useful for breaking out of some usual patterns. I don’t think I ever would have come up with a lewd, lonely shoe persona on my own. 🙂
This is absolutely precious. So great I had to read it aloud to my sister. I love it. How fun.
Wow. Thank you so much! Did you read it in character? 🙂
How clever and delightful! Fave line: “Are you tired of sitting around in your drawers?” Wait, no: “Let’s get on our feet and go places.” Anyway, reading this makes me smile for the first time all week–thanks!
Thanks so much, Jennifer! I had fun with this one.
